In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers. The Mission Capability Verification Center within Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities is searching for engineering interns to support program test operations with our team at White Sands Missile Range, NM.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • Experience with the instrumentation and/or operation of data acquisition systems or laboratory test equipment
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in real time.
  • Familiarity with scripting, MATLAB or similar
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support installation and testing of engineering modifications and updates
  • Support integration and test activities to identify, diagnose, and correct issues
  • Support mission execution test events for our radars or missile flight tests, which could include travel to various sites on range
  • Test events may occur over weekends or holidays, and may require extended hours
