About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our team. This role involves significant client-facing responsibilities, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory, along with VMware expertise. This position is based out of Grand Haven, MI, and involves travel to client sites throughout West Michigan.

Requirements

5-10 years of strong System Engineering skills.
Experience in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
Experience with VMware.
Experience in Network Administration including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
Technical Support experience in hardware, software, and remote support.
Effective Troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
In-depth knowledge of Information Technology concepts and protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel to client sites.
Ability to work from the office.
Ability to be on call.

Nice To Haves

Scripting/Automation skills.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA A+.
MSP experience.
Prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Perform systems engineering tasks with a focus on Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
Utilize VMware for system management and virtualization.
Engage in scripting and automation to improve efficiency.
Interact with clients on a daily basis, providing technical support and solutions.
Conduct network administration, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewall management.
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and remote issues.
Troubleshoot technical problems effectively and proactively identify potential issues.
Apply in-depth knowledge of Information Technology concepts and protocols.
Travel to client sites approximately 3 days per week.
Work from the office 2 days per week.
Be on-call one weekend every other month.
