About The Position

Gnostech LLC has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer supporting its expanding engineering services business. The role supports a small engineering team developing and sustaining multiple-security-level (MLS) systems and cross-domain solution (CDS) capabilities that incorporate virtualized environments, VPN technologies, secure network architectures, and controlled information-sharing mechanisms. The engineer assists with system design, integration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, configuration management, and operational support across security domains. This is an on-site position in Warminster, Pennsylvania, in a secure lab environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, days, with travel of less than 10% (approximately four to five weeks per year, CONUS). Salary depends on experience. The position is suited to a motivated professional interested in systems engineering, secure network design, virtualization, cybersecurity, and cross-domain technologies. The successful candidate will work collaboratively on technically challenging problems, learn about emerging technologies, and apply them to mission requirements. A Secret security clearance is required; a final Top Secret clearance is preferred. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be willing to obtain CompTIA Security+ within six months.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience.
BA/BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field; equivalent experience is accepted.
Secret security clearance required; final Top Secret clearance preferred.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be willing to obtain CompTIA Security+ within six months.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and balance several tasks in parallel.
Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated professionalism.
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Excellent technical writing abilities.
Experience with computer hardware/software integration.
Experience with Windows Server, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange, and IIS.
Familiarity with network design and VPN technologies.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with scripting fundamentals such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

Nice To Haves

Passion for education and desire to obtain new knowledge and/or certificates.
Experience administering and implementing cross-domain solutions.
Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with Linux SE experience and Linux Security Module.
Familiarity with Splunk administration.
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools.
DoD-related project background.

Responsibilities

Support the current product line, help maintain system security posture, and troubleshoot issues.
Communicate directly with and provide support to critical stakeholders and system users.
Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to help advance the product line.
Perform product design using engineering best practices.
Participate in developing technical documentation, user manuals, white papers, and presentations.
Develop a strong working knowledge of DoD and commercial security regulations.
Assist with system design, integration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, configuration management, and operational support across security domains.
