About The Position

Empower AI is hiring a Systems Engineer II to lead or support systems engineering for a cloud-based enterprise system across planning, design, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment, and modernization. The role develops and maintains architecture products, technical baselines, diagrams, interface descriptions, system inventories, and engineering documentation. It assesses architecture for scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, interoperability, and security, and coordinates integration across cloud infrastructure, networking, identity services, cybersecurity tools, applications, data services, and end-user capabilities. The engineer supports technical planning for infrastructure upgrades, application integrations, capability releases, and modernization initiatives; evaluates proposed changes; supports configuration management and testing; and identifies risks, dependencies, constraints, and capability gaps. The position also supports operational resilience and Risk Management Framework activities, analyzes performance and incidents, maintains Splunk dashboards for security information and event monitoring, conducts server scans, and implements STIGs and review checklists to meet DoW technical requirements. The engineer prepares technical reports and briefings and participates in technical and operational reviews and working groups. Empower AI describes itself as a provider of AI solutions for government, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, with three decades of experience serving Health, Defense, and Civilian missions. It states that it is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor and bases hiring and promotion decisions on merit.
