About The Position

Serve as a systems engineer supporting U.S. Navy munition and energetic programs, providing technical leadership throughout the system development lifecycle to meet U.S. Navy program technical objectives. Lead or provide engineering technical direction for defining problems, analyzing and developing solutions, and implementing complex systems using systems engineering principles across the DoD 5000 acquisition process. Define system requirements, interfaces, and Design Reference Missions (DRMs), refining them as needed throughout system design and development. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), develop and maintain systems engineering plans and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), and support certification and specialty engineering efforts. Lead system-of-systems integration, including mission and capability planning, reliability and maintainability analysis, human factors considerations, and model-based systems engineering. Collaborate with teams on system development, improvements, optimization, and support; conduct risk assessments and analyses using modeling and simulation techniques. Oversee Integration & Test activities by creating test plans and reports, conducting requirements verification, analysis, and traceability, witnessing tests, and ensuring verification accounting. Produce clear technical documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders, support program artifacts, and manage configuration and risk throughout the program lifecycle.
