About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer to join their team. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or a Level 3. The Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for participation and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of review milestones. The candidate will be executing tasks in system engineering functions. The position requires systems thinking and working knowledge of the full development life-cycle processes that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The candidate must exhibit strong leadership characteristics in coordinating with multiple teams and managing tasks. This position is contingent upon verification of DoD Secret clearance and must possess the ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Requirements

  • System Engineer: 2 years experience with a STEM Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR 0 years with a Master's degree
  • Active or ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance with a background investigation date within 6 years
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Principal System Engineer: 5 years experience with a STEM Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR 2 years with a Master's degree
  • Active or ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance with a background investigation date within 6 years
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements/Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills
  • Scripting experience
