General Fusion is a global leader in the race to commercialize clean fusion energy, pursuing a practical approach called Magnetized Target Fusion with the aim of providing zero-carbon fusion power to the grid in the early to mid-2030s. At their state-of-the-art labs in Richmond, BC, they are operating a groundbreaking fusion demonstration machine called Lawson Machine 26 (LM26). The Systems Engineer will lead a team of subject matter experts to build system and process models of a fusion power plant for making system trade-offs, defining sub-system requirements, and validating plant architectures. The successful applicant will be expected to hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Systems Engineer looking for challenging work that has a direct impact on General Fusion’s ability to develop practical fusion energy solutions.
