About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with at least 14 years of systems engineering experience and a technical bachelor’s degree to support programs in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role involves analyzing user requirements, leading system design and development, providing technical guidance, and overseeing integration and implementation. The Systems Engineer will serve as a technical point of contact, prepare technical documentation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams for successful system deployment and sustainment is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 14 years of systems engineering or related technical experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (additional experience may be substituted where applicable)
  • IAT Level II certification or equivalent certification meeting federal cybersecurity requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements, operational concepts, and system architectures to develop detailed technical specifications
  • Lead system design and development activities to ensure alignment with mission and program requirements
  • Provide guidance on requirements development, alternative technical solutions, and feasibility assessments
  • Develop system architecture documentation, technical designs, and implementation plans
  • Oversee system integration and implementation planning, including systems engineering management and test planning activities
  • Serve as a technical point of contact to resolve issues and ensure compliance with program objectives and technical standards
  • Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation throughout all phases of the system lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including program teams, customers, and senior leadership
  • Support system validation, verification, and performance evaluation activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful system deployment and sustainment
