About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer with aspirations to become a Chief Engineer. This role involves working within the Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) group, focusing on next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions for electronic warfare (EW) systems. The engineer will mentor directly with a senior EW Chief Engineer, contributing to system development, requirements definition, integration and testing, and test planning and execution in a field deployment setting. The position requires full-time, on-site work at a BAE Systems facility due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the nature of the role's requirements.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a STEM field.
  • 8+ Years of relevant industry or equivalent experience.
  • Possess an Active SECRET Clearance.
  • Experience in EW / RF Systems development.
  • Exposure to multi-discipline embedded I&T.
  • Exposure to requirements development.
  • Technical Briefing experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in RF development and test, with a focus on embedded systems integration and testing.
  • RF development or test experience with a strong understanding of RF principles and systems.
  • Familiarity with transceivers, with experience in designing, testing, or integrating transceivers.
  • Comfortable working with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and noise figures.
  • Experience in integrating and testing embedded systems across multiple disciplines, including RF, digital, and software.
  • Proven experience in integrating and testing RF and digital systems.
  • Experience in regression testing software and firmware.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Experience in planning and executing tests, including setting up test environments and procedures.
  • Experience in capturing and documenting requirements for RF systems.
  • Familiarity with DOORs (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System).
  • Experience in conducting trade studies to evaluate system performance and design options.
  • Experience in developing system architectures from concept to implementation.
  • Familiarity with RF system modeling tools and techniques.
  • Experience in presenting technical information to multi-tiered audiences, including upper management and customers.
  • Experience in presenting to upper management.
  • Experience in presenting to customers.
  • Familiarity with security and logistics procedures, including reading SCGs (Security Classification Guides) and portion marking documents.
