About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking Systems Engineers with a minimum of 6 years' experience to work in an enterprise IT environment. Responsibilities include tasks related to Voice, collaborating with network and telecom engineers on integration activities involving telephony or call center, assisting in the design, testing, and deployment of new voice infrastructure, and supporting the implementation of next-generation voice technologies. The role also involves participating in the system security accreditation process, providing certificate management support for secure systems, assisting with system upgrades, patching, and configuration, supporting new site voice system standups, and assisting with call center technology deployments, user training, and transition planning. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to call routing and trunking design within enterprise voice platforms and attend meetings to gather voice system requirements. The position offers hands-on experience with secure voice devices and infrastructure components, Tier 4 engineering support under supervision, and support for platforms like Skype for Business and Avaya Communication Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an enterprise IT environment with specific tasks related to Voice
  • Collaborate with network engineering and other telecom engineers in integration activities involving telephony or call center
  • Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of new voice infrastructure
  • Support implementation of next-generation voice technologies
  • Participate in the system security accreditation process

  • Contribute to call routing and trunking design within enterprise voice platforms
  • Attend meetings with internal teams and clients to gather and understand voice system requirements
  • Monitor compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Gain hands-on experience with secure voice devices (e.g., VoIP phones, STEs, Viper) and infrastructure components (e.g., PBXs, encryption devices, call management servers)
  • Learn to provide Tier 4 engineering support under supervision
  • Learn and support platforms such as Skype for Business, Avaya Communication Manager, and other enterprise call center technologies
