About The Position

This position is listed as a Systems Engineer and supports test automation. Candidates must meet the general Systems Engineer labor category requirements and bring experience in automated software testing, including Python and Java unit testing, fault injection and mocking, white-box and black-box test design, regression testing, large-scale test design, failure mode analysis, security testing, code coverage tools, and CI pipeline integration. The role also calls for familiarity with a cloud provider and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Terraform experience is strongly preferred; testing IaC deployments with tools such as Terratest and working with XML are preferred or advantageous. The role requires seven years of Systems Engineer experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, and an applicable bachelor’s degree or an approved experience substitution. An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Requirements

At least one year of experience writing Python unit tests using PyTest.
At least one year of experience writing Java unit tests using JUnit.
Experience with fault injection and mocking in both Java and Python.
Experience designing and writing white-box and black-box tests.
Experience adding regression tests to existing software.
Experience with large-scale test design and failure mode analysis.
Experience with security testing.
Familiarity with code coverage tools and integration with CI pipelines.
Familiarity with at least one cloud provider.
Seven years of Systems Engineer experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; five additional years of Systems Engineer experience may substitute for the degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform is strongly preferred.
Experience testing IaC deployments, such as with Terratest.
Experience working with XML.
