Lockheed Martin is designing, developing, and delivering a next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system comprised of integrated space and ground segments that will provide enhanced communications capacity, flexibility and resiliency. This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the requirements development, decomposition, and verification.

Requirements

  • 3 years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Requirements allocation, flowdown, verification, and/or VCRM development experience
  • Familiarity with DOORS and/or CAMEO
  • Experiencing developing and/or verification of Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Experience working either Satellite or Ground Segment programs
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance. Thus US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of Requirements and Verification Experience
  • Experience in executing design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc)
  • Experience with Requirements Allocation Documentation
  • System Integration Experience
  • Background in designing, or sustaining communication subsystems (e.g., RF, optical, digital), for space missions
  • Active or Current DoD SECRET Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Perform Requirements and Verification Engineering for the next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system.
  • Develop, allocate, flow-down both performance and functional requirements from the system to its constituent segments and elements.
  • Coordinate closely across the SEIT team and with lower-tier systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure a comprehensive allocation and understanding of the system requirements.
  • Develop verification and validation plans; lead the applicable verification and validation activities ensuring the systems both meets requirements and performs as needed.
  • Support/lead key program design reviews.
