Lockheed Martin is designing, developing, and delivering a next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system comprised of integrated space and ground segments that will provide enhanced communications capacity, flexibility and resiliency. This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the requirements development, decomposition, and verification.

Requirements

Systems Engineering and/or architecture experience
Aptitude to perform functional and performance-based thread engineering/CONOPs
Experience supporting trade study (definition and execution)
Strong communication and team work skills
Experience working either Satellite or Ground Segment programs
Experience owning TPMs for a development program
MBSE experience
Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance. Thus US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
3+ years of Systems Engineering and/or Architect experience
System Integration Experience
Background in architecting and/or designing communication subsystems (e.g., RF, optical, digital), for space missions
Experience defining, developing, or tailoring Digital Models of complex systems
Active or Current DoD SECRET Security Clearance

Responsibilities

Ensure completeness of converting of mission requirements into system solution
Definitize the system architecture and subsequent design
Develop/define interfaces between critical elements
Perform the necessary analysis to accomplish mission requirement conversion, architecture definitization
