About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in designing, developing, and delivering a next-generation wideband MILSATCOM system. This role will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team, supporting the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability. The focus will be on the coordination, development, and execution of a test program for the next-generation system.

Requirements

2+ years experience in Test preparation activities and test execution
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance.
US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
Systems Integration Experience
Experience in Space Vehicle (SV) Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and electrical ground test equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members.
MBSE experience
Experience in SATCOM testing (to include planning or conducting)

Responsibilities

Support requirements definition for new labs and tests.
Support development of an integrated test plan.
Involvement in test execution.
Support systems hardware/software integration, test planning, and execution.
Support the development of products needed to conduct testing at factory and in orbit.
Support the generation of system test requirements.
Support development of key system-level risk reduction test beds.
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.
Space or Ground segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, use of system test beds and/or other high-fidelity risk reduction environments.
