About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior Staff to join their team. This role will support the design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of a next-generation wideband MILSATCOM system. The focus will be on coordinating, developing, and executing a test program for this critical capability. The company emphasizes innovation, security, and the transformative potential of space, aiming to create future-ready solutions and advance spacecraft technology.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in Test preparation activities and test execution of complex systems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, use of system test beds and/or other high-fidelity risk reduction environments
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
  • 8+ years Experience with Systems Integration or Test
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Experience in Space Vehicle (SV) Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and electrical ground test equipment.
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.
  • Space or Ground segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members.
  • Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Support requirements definition for new labs and tests.
  • Support development of an integrated test plan.
  • Involve in test execution at various levels.
  • Support systems hardware/software integration, test planning, and execution.
  • Support the development of products needed to conduct testing at factory and in orbit.
  • Support the generation of system test requirements.
  • Support development of key system-level risk reduction test beds.
  • Utilize excellent organization and troubleshooting skills.
  • Be proficient in understanding hardware/software design, requirements generation, product development, test execution, and verification activities.
