About The Position

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for Systems Engineers to join their team. This position supports the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to systems engineering products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This description does not represent a current opening but may be used to identify candidates with skills and experience for positions within Northrop Grumman that frequently become available. Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.

Requirements

  • STEM B.S. Degree (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
  • Experience applying Model Based Systems Engineering to develop and model requirements.
  • Experience managing requirements or systems engineering artifacts using tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or JIRA.
  • Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical content to audiences of varying backgrounds.
  • Ability to work on-site in an office environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

  • Experience incorporating stakeholder feedback from multiple organizations (e.g. teams, IPTs, sectors) into actionable solutions.
  • Experience taking systems engineering requirements or artifacts through the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience with requirement verification methods.
