About The Position

Acclaim Technical Services (ATS) is seeking a Systems Engineer with TS/SCI w/ Poly to join their team in Annapolis Junction, MD. ATS, founded in 2000, is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company specializing in cyber operations, intelligence solutions, network infrastructure, engineering, business enablement, and enterprise operations for U.S. Federal agencies. The Systems Engineer will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. This role involves guiding design and development activities, advising on alternative approaches, conducting feasibility studies, and providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. The engineer will also incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations, develop technical documentation, and create system architecture and design documentation. Responsibilities include guiding system development and implementation planning, assessing and preparing system engineering management plans and integration/test plans, and interacting with the Government on Systems Engineering technical considerations. The role has ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area. Communication with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is essential. The engineer will provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems, including requirements elicitation, analysis, functional allocation, conducting reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessments and end-to-end flow analysis.

Requirements

  • Fourteen years’ experience as a systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading systems engineering efforts is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
