About The Position

CTI Staffing is partnering with a leading retail organization to find a Business Systems Analyst IV for their Payments and Retail Technology team, based on a hybrid schedule near Salisbury NC, Quincy MA, Carlisle PA, Scarborough ME, or Chicago IL. This team owns the technology behind point-of-sale and payments systems used across a large, multi-location retail operation. You'll step into a senior individual-contributor role driving solution design and delivery on complex payments platforms — partnering closely with architects, engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders to keep in-store payment systems reliable, secure, and scalable.

Requirements

  • 5+ years driving solution design, system integration, and end-to-end delivery across complex platforms
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems, payment gateways, or payment devices (e.g., Verifone, Ingenico)
  • Experience supporting large-scale retail environments (grocery or fuel preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the credit/debit payments ecosystem, including authorization flows and settlement concepts
  • Proven ability to lead complex technology delivery end-to-end
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders
  • Currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ACI Retail Commerce Server
  • Experience with NCR Connected Payments (OpenEPS, ServerEPS, WebEPS, Common Client)
  • PIN pad configuration and estate/key management experience
  • Familiarity with PCI compliance and payment security standards
  • Experience in Agile or product-based delivery models

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, configuration, integration, and implementation of POS and payments solutions across multiple platforms
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of medium-to-large initiatives, from discovery through implementation and support
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on payment processing flows, device interactions, and store systems
  • Drive solution design decisions in collaboration with architects and engineering teams
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Lead triage and resolution of complex production issues, including incident bridge calls and root cause analysis
  • Support audit and compliance activities, including access reviews and controls validation
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in delivery and documentation
