About The Position

The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Space’s Mission Solutions business area is seeking a talented and dedicated Systems Engineer-IT to become a member of an Agile team focused on IT Infrastructure (Systems Administration, Networking, & Hardware) in the Whiskey Program Area. This role offers access to growth opportunities where you can make a difference to a very important mission. You will join one of the Whiskey portfolio's Agile (scrum) Systems Admin teams and be involved in Windows or Linux system administration, using scripts to automate server administration and deployment, completing system patching, supporting user interactions, designing new capabilities, and maintaining networks and data storage to ensure maximum up-time for development and operations. This position is a Level 2 role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience having received a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or additional experience/combined education in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizen
  • Government security clearance required
  • Requires special access to a facility
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, acceptable degree programs will include science and technology related programs such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics etc.
  • Windows and Linux System Administration experience
  • Hypervisor / Virtualization experience
  • System Hardening, Cybersecurity concepts and tools
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship.
