About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineers for a summer 2027 internship with its Mission Systems sector in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The intern will join the Marine Systems Business Unit, which provides launcher, propulsion, and power-generation systems for naval submarines and surface ships. The internship offers training, professional development, and networking opportunities. The candidate must be available to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027 and be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Fall 2027.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university, and remain enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
• Must be majoring in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company. U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
• Experience with or coursework related to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with Cameo.
• Experience with Systems Design.
• Experience establishing Systems Requirements.
