Systems Engineer III (Electronics)
About The Position
The Systems Engineer III (Electronics) implements the technology roadmap and develops technical solutions for new interconnection concepts. The role works with product development groups to translate new concepts into production designs, and engages with software, hardware, test, product development, and product management teams to integrate technology into the Rheem control platform and develop product requirements. The position develops design concepts, models, and prototypes; tests performance to determine feasibility; develops test methods; coordinates experiments; evaluates results; and prepares written reports of research findings. It also coordinates developmental-program arrangements with outside suppliers or research organizations, participates in technical societies, keeps the company informed about relevant technological developments, contributes to patent creation, and participates in product design reviews to ensure required hardware and software features are included. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Implement the technology roadmap and develop technical solutions to new interconnection concepts.
- Work with product development groups to translate new concepts into production designs.
- Develop design concepts, models, and prototypes, and conduct performance testing to determine feasibility.
- Develop test methods, coordinate experiments, evaluate test results, and prepare written reports of research findings.
- Coordinate contractual arrangements for developmental programs with outside suppliers or research organizations.
- Participate in technical societies and keep the company advised of pertinent technological developments.
- Actively participate in patent creation for new products and technologies.
- Engage with software, hardware, test, and product development teams to integrate new technology into the Rheem control platform.
- Engage with Product Management to develop product requirements.
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure products have required hardware and software features.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
