About The Position

The Systems Engineer I contributes to the development and implementation of advanced system solutions, connecting technical teams throughout the product development lifecycle. The role represents the integrated system viewpoint and helps connect segments and subsystems through top-down decomposition of stakeholder requirements, traceability across development artifacts, and bottom-up system validation and verification. The engineer supports technical development milestones, tracks performance measures, and identifies technical risks to help deliver a compliant, cohesive system solution. The role specifies, architects, and integrates complex system solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include deriving, decomposing, allocating, tracing, and managing system requirements and architectures; preparing artifacts and deliverables for development milestone reviews; participating in system integration and verification activities; identifying and managing technical risks and mitigation strategies; adhering to engineering processes and standards; and communicating with team members and stakeholders to support project alignment and execution. The engineer is expected to have a basic understanding of systems engineering principles while developing expertise in requirements management, system architecture, concept of operations, integration, and verification.
