About The Position

This role is for a Systems Engineer I, focusing on aerospace and defense programs within RTX. The position involves supporting planning and execution of USAF APG-82 Public Private Partnership (PPP) and F-15 Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) programs. Responsibilities include Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) qualification activities, or Troubleshooting Test activities in labs, in the field, or at a Depot facility. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship being a prerequisite. The position is based in Warner Robins, Georgia, and is an onsite role.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Experience with programming, data analysis, and automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, C, C#, MATLAB, Python)
Experience working in teams troubleshooting technical issues
U.S. citizenship is required
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Clearance: Secret)
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

Experience with or exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance, such as ships, ground combat systems, fixed and rotary wing aircraft
Experience working with schematics and electronic test equipment to troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems
Strong understanding of root cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone)
Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, R, JMP, or similar)
Good communication and technical documentation skills

Responsibilities

Support planning and execution of USAF APG-82 Public Private Partnership (PPP) and F-15 Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) programs
Perform Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) qualification activities
Conduct Troubleshooting Test activities in labs, in the field, or at a Depot facility
Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations using analysis tools like MATLAB and data-query/analytics tools (SQL or similar)
Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to IPTLs, Systems Engineering, and Chief Engineering
Summarize large amounts of field-collected data and refine it into clear, concise insights
Perform root-cause analysis & implement minor design changes
Incorporate the review of relevant large data trends to help identify contributing factors and guide recommendations
Develop scripts and tools using Python to analyze system and test data, automate workflows, and generate actionable insights
