The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level integration, verification and validation. This role involves supporting engineering activities related to testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software, functional analysis of real-world and test data, trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded systems, and supporting troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment. The position also includes system integration and test support, possibly including live fire test events, completing and compiling detailed performance evaluations using analysis tools like MATLAB, supporting qualification of products, and handling sustainment/depot returns and repairs. The role requires maintaining engineering specifications and drawings, preparing and presenting results in reports and briefings, maintaining engineering databases, participating in team and teleconference meetings, and collaborating with cross-product teams. Additionally, it involves applying advanced logistics principles to develop complex program-level concepts and plans. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
