About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Documentation & Analysis Specialist to lead the comprehensive documentation of a complex, database-driven application used across federal stakeholders. This system is built on SQL-based data architecture and supported by legacy and modern technologies including .NET, ASP, jQuery, and jQuery UI. This role will focus on producing a complete, accurate, and industry standards–compliant documentation package that reflects the current state of the system. The work will involve analyzing database structures, system workflows, and application behavior; reconciling and incorporating existing documentation; and clearly identifying current functionality versus outdated or deprecated components. The documentation produced will serve as the authoritative foundation for system modernization, security posture assessment, and regulatory compliance efforts. The selected candidate will work closely with a designated System Subject Matter Expert (SME) to validate findings and ensure completeness and accuracy. This position has the option of remote, hybrid or in-person work with an initial intensive documentation phase requiring delivery of a full documentation package within 6 months, followed by a reduced level of ongoing support for documentation maintenance and updates.
