About The Position

As a Systems Developer in the Remote Access Team, you will build and operate Client VPN and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) services that allow customers to connect securely to corporate networks and applications from anywhere. This is a builder-operator hybrid role: you will design, implement, deploy, maintain, and operate the components you create, from initial concept through production operations. You will be part of the core team developing remote access services for the customer base and will own your components end-to-end. Operational excellence matters as much as code quality. The role requires foundations in both software development and systems administration; it is not suited to someone seeking only software development or configuration-and-support-focused system administration. Requirements

Higher education (ETH, university, or FH) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role, with exposure to networking technologies such as dynamic routing, firewalls, and TCP/IP.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python and a concurrent compiled language such as Go, C++, C#, or Rust.
Experience with Linux or another UNIX-based operating system, including comfort working at the system level.
Knowledge of container and cloud technologies, including Kubernetes.
Experience using LLM-assisted development tools.
Fluent English.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work both in a team and independently.

Nice To Haves

Expertise in authentication and identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect, and/or LDAP.
Familiarity with software and system testing practices.
Understanding of monitoring and observability principles.
A solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

Build and operate Client VPN and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) services.
Integrate OEM remote access software into the SASE platform across customer sites, public clouds, and the company’s Kubernetes-based cloud.
Work with vendors to understand their products and improve functionality, performance, and reliability.
Build deployment automation, configuration management, internal tools, and APIs around remote access products.
Integrate services and their configuration into AI agents used for operations.
Extend monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation capabilities.
Troubleshoot and debug production systems.
Manage the life cycle and optimize existing deployments.
Write operational documentation for teams that run and support the service.
Design, implement, deploy, maintain, and operate owned components from concept through production operations.
