Systems Analyst-FAS-Hybrid
About The Position
The Systems Analyst builds, configures, and supports intelligent automation and traditional robotic process automation (RPA) solutions for high-value Finance and Accounting Services opportunities. The role uses tools including UiPath, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Oracle Agent Studio, and potentially Claude, Codex, and other technologies. In collaboration with Business Analysts and finance process owners, the analyst translates documented workflows and requirements into production automations and agentic solutions, leading development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support to ensure solutions are dependable, scalable, and aligned with Finance needs. The role also supports Finance system solutions by connecting Finance personnel with automation tools and technology, providing systems support, education, training, data reporting, analysis, automation, and project management. The Systems Analyst maintains knowledge of Mayo accounting systems, processes, relationships, dependencies, and underlying data structures; helps ensure financial and statistical data integrity; and manages complex technical issues and system changes with institutional impact. This is a hybrid position. The employee must be located within 100 miles of a Mayo Clinic campus for on-site expectations based on business needs. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in accounting, supply chain management, business, healthcare, finance, computer science, or engineering, plus at least 3 years focused on support, configuration, or implementation of an integrated system, automation, or another technology-related field; alternatively, a high school diploma and 9 years of experience focused on support, configuration, or implementation of finance-related systems such as costing or ERP systems.
- Ability to work in multiple system environments and applications.
- Proficiency with project efficiency tools, automation, and code writing.
- Hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software.
- Investigational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to successfully manage moderately complex projects that affect multiple systems or departments.
- In-depth knowledge of core functionality and supporting processes.
- Diplomacy, tact, initiative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence, communicate effectively with internal and external audiences, and maintain strong customer relations.
- Self-directed approach, ability to multitask, and ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and handle ambiguity.

Responsibilities

- Convert documented workflows and requirements into production automations and agentic solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts and finance process owners.
- Lead solution development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.
- Serve as a liaison between Finance personnel and automation tools and technology, providing systems support, education, training, data reporting, analysis, automation, and complex project management.
- Stay informed about industry trends; acquire and analyze data, develop recommendations, and manage solution implementation.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Mayo accounting systems and processes, including their interrelationships, dependencies, and underlying data structures.
- Help assure the integrity of financial and statistical data through preparation or review of systems processes, testing, and reporting.
- Initiate, manage, and troubleshoot complex technical issues and system changes with institutional impact, including identifying business and systems needs, developing functional specifications, analyzing business impact, developing test plans, testing, communicating, and documenting outcomes.
- Develop business relationships with outside consultants, vendors, healthcare clearinghouses, national standards committees, and representatives of other healthcare institutions.
