Systems Analyst - AFTAS Pro

OneGlobeWashington, DC

About The Position

We are hiring a Systems Analyst to serve as technical lead across three related bodies of work for a Department of the Air Force acquisition customer: defining system requirements for integration and sustainment, rationalizing an application portfolio toward fewer legacy systems, and planning the enterprise architecture and technology transitions that get there. You will be the primary technical voice to the government on all three, which means the role is as much about defensible technical judgment communicated clearly as it is about hands-on analysis.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in systems analysis, enterprise architecture, or application architecture at enterprise scale.
  • Master's degree in computer or systems engineering, or a bachelor's degree with equivalent additional experience.
  • Active Secret clearance (interim Secret considered with approval).
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical tasks and serving as a credible technical interface to senior stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL 4 Foundation or ITIL (Version 5) Foundation.
  • CISSP.
  • Associate of ISC2 candidates who have passed the exam and are accruing the experience requirement.
  • Oracle and enterprise business systems experience in a federal or DoD environment.
  • Familiarity with defense business capability acquisition governance and IT audit compliance.
  • Hands-on portfolio rationalization or legacy application consolidation at federal scale.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical interface to government stakeholders across requirements, portfolio, and architecture work.
  • Drive requirements definition and refinement, business process reengineering, evaluation of commercial and government off-the-shelf software, and alternative system design reviews.
  • Evaluate emerging IT capabilities — including prototype solutions that bring AI and machine learning into routine business operations — and present technical findings to senior government stakeholders.
  • Benchmark and demonstrate commercial program and portfolio management tools, source selection tools, and modeling and simulation tools, then support their integration.
  • Ensure business process reengineering and enterprise architecture work satisfies statutory requirements governing defense business system modernizations above $1 million.
  • Provide technical support across the acquisition lifecycle governance process: IT governance, security reviews, business requirements reviews, and IT audit compliance.
  • Analyze and draft the procedures and implementation plans that materially reduce the number of legacy systems and applications in an active portfolio.
  • Map lines of business to business functions, automated information system functions, data categories, and authoritative data sources.
  • Assess current hosting environments, application portfolios, and active tooling, including Oracle and enterprise business systems.
  • Build technical gap analyses against a target-state architecture and translate them into phased, prioritized transition roadmaps with credible interim states.

Benefits

  • Extensive medical/dental/vision
  • 7% of your annual salary toward 401(k)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • $5K annually toward ongoing education and training
