About The Position

At Montana State Fund (MSF), we are more than Montana’s guaranteed workers’ compensation insurer. We are Montanans serving Montanans. As a Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that MSF’s technology systems operate with integrity, efficiency, and alignment to business needs. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical analysis, problem-solving, and collaborative partnership. In this role, you’ll be a strategic partner to business units to support operational needs and technical solutions, and a guardian of system quality throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). Your work ensures that MSF’s systems remain reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting our mission to serve Montana safely and effectively. This role blends analytical depth, project support, and hands-on system testing, offering opportunities to grow your technical expertise while contributing to meaningful organizational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years’ relevant IT work experience.
  • Two (2) years in the insurance industry.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One (1) Level 1 insurance certification (Claims, Underwriting or Insurance Professional) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines while adapting to shifting priorities in a technical setting.
  • Professionalism & Integrity when representing MSF across teams and projects.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset focused on understanding business needs and delivering effective solutions.
  • Communication Excellence, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts clearly.
