About The Position

Performs high level systems analysis support for the International Programs Office (N7I) supporting training readiness for international partners. Assesses USN baseline changes and applies surface ship combat systems knowledge and experience to determine training requirements and training impacts to FMS baselines. Considered technically competent on Aegis Combat System elements and applies knowledge to recommend changes in technical application and training requirements for FMS maintenance and operations courses taught by SCSTC. Evaluates training system capabilities and limitations and provides recommendations to training systems changes based on specific country surface ship training requirements. Assesses, reviews, and presents findings to government staff, including training system improvements and training recommendations.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma and at least 6 years’ experience in the design operation and/or maintenance of complex U.S. Navy Surface Combat Systems.
  • Must have experience in the analysis and evaluation of recommended changes and in determining the impact on system readiness and user functionality.
  • Must have experience in reading design documents, evaluating high level interface block diagrams, evaluating innovative designs incorporating commercial equipment, part task trainer emulations and simulations to create flexible and cost-effective training and readiness capabilities.
  • Must have an Active Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent surface ship combat system experience in operations, maintenance, and/or training, preferred.
  • Instructor Experience and MTS a plus.
  • Ability to apply surface combat systems knowledge to resolve complex problems and provide recommended technical and training solutions, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in an understanding manner verbally and in writing, preferred.
  • Experience with general Navy Surface Combat Systems and foreign disclosure operations, and information security process for classified material handling, preferred.
  • Knowledge of U.S. releasability and disclosure policies and guidance, preferred.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with government civilian, military, and contractor personnel essential, preferred.
