About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for a Senior Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will provide digital ecosystem, cloud architecture, and Model-based System Engineering expertise in support of the Missile Defense Agency Chief Digital Officer (CDO) mission. You will combine expertise in API integration, cloud architecture, model-based systems engineering, dashboard development, DevSecOps, tactical interoperability, and digital engineering to coordinate and accelerate the delivery of operational capabilities. This includes leading the onboarding and integration of external software, models, simulations, AI tools, and operational capabilities. You will design and implement secure API-based integrations and data exchange architectures, as well as AI-enabled digital ecosystems supporting human-machine teaming. Development will include integration architectures connecting APIs, data services, semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and AI orchestration frameworks. You will implement semantic data models and ontologies to improve AI reasoning and data discoverability, and develop AI-ready data pipelines that transform structured and unstructured data into consumable knowledge assets. Integration of Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, and workflow automation services into enterprise environments is also a key responsibility. You will develop enterprise dashboards and common operational pictures, support MBSE activities using SysML, activity diagrams, and block diagrams, and develop common data models and integration standards. Support for tactical interoperability, including Link 16 and gateway architectures, as well as DevSecOps pipelines and cloud-native deployments, is required. You will also provide technical recommendations to government leadership.

Requirements

Must have a MS in STEM field, and at least 12+ years related experience in software integration, systems engineering, or enterprise architecture.
Must have experience with API design and integration.
Must have working knowledge of MBSE and SysML.
Must have experience building enterprise dashboards.
Must have experience with cloud environments and container technologies.
Must have an Active or Interim Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting DoD programs, preferred.
Experience with Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparx EA, or Rhapsody, preferred.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or Kibana, preferred.
Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, preferred.
Knowledge of Link 16, tactical data links, and C2 architectures, preferred.
Knowledge of AI-enabled workflows and digital engineering ecosystems to include Semantic Search, RAG Architectures, LLM Integration, Agentic AI Frameworks, AI Orchestration Platforms, and Data Fabric Architectures, preferred.

Responsibilities
