About The Position

Seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to analyze business needs, evaluate existing systems and recommend technology solutions that improve operational efficiency. The consultant will work with business and technical stakeholders to document requirements, assess system capabilities, perform cost-benefit analyses and support the development or modification of applications. Experience supporting healthcare applications is highly desirable.

Requirements

• Senior business systems analyst with 5–8+ years of experience analyzing healthcare applications
• Gathering and documenting complex requirements
• Mapping business processes
• Defining data and reporting needs
• Conducting solution and cost-benefit analyses
• Coordinating between business stakeholders and software-development teams
• Healthcare systems, Medicaid, behavioral health, eligibility, claims, case management, or CMBHS-related experience
• Texas residents only; local candidates strongly preferred
• No H1/CPT

Responsibilities

• Analyze business objectives, operational challenges and system-related problems.
• Identify and evaluate alternative technical and business solutions.
• Review user requirements, workflows and operating procedures.
• Recommend opportunities to automate processes and improve existing systems.
• Meet with business units to understand current procedures, problems and data-processing needs.
• Document functional requirements, user needs, program functions and system-change requirements.
• Analyze and document system inputs, outputs, data summaries and reporting formats.
• Review system capabilities, specifications and scheduling limitations.
• Determine whether requested system changes can be implemented within the current environment.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
• Collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and agency leadership.
• Monitor technology trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
• Support healthcare-related systems and applications, when applicable.
