About The Position

HII is seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to support Fleet Synthetic Training (FST), Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) events, and operational training exercises within the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). The position provides Tactical Data Link (TDL) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) engineering support to ensure successful integration, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of LINK 11, LINK 16, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), and associated network systems. The role supports multi-link network architectures, distributed training events, and Navy exercises in complex training and mission environments. The ideal candidate has operational Navy experience, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and expertise in tactical data link architectures.

The role is based in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment and may involve climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and extreme temperature variances, and lifting or moving materials. An active Secret clearance is required.

Requirements

• Two years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field; no experience with a master's degree in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Military duty experience as an Operations Specialist (OS) Tactical Data Coordinator (TDC)/Tactical Information Coordinator (TIC), or as an Electronics Technician with Data Link Ready Response Team experience.
• Experience with C4I systems.
• Experience with LINK 11 and LINK 16.
• Experience with Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guidelines.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and digest technical information.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple systems.
• Ability to visualize overall systems, conceptualize solutions, and document creative solutions.
• Strong customer focus, including the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience installing release upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tactical Data Link support for configuration, management, control, and integration of multi-link network systems supporting Fleet Synthetic Training.
• Provide technical support, coordination, planning, and execution for bridging multi-tiered TDL architecture during FST-GC, FST-J, and FST-S events, Ballistic Missile Defense exercises, and other distributed LVC training events supporting the Fleet Response Training Plan.
• Apply a general understanding of NGC Gateway Manager, TDACS, LMMT, and JSAF.
• Coordinate integration, engineering, installation, and deployment support for exercise planning and execution.
• Collect and record common operating pictures from JTIDS LINK 16/11, Navy Tactical Data System, and real-time data links for later production in modeling, analysis, and experimentation venues.
• Plan, implement, and monitor single- or multi-link architectures in Carrier Strike Groups, Expeditionary Strike Groups, Carrier Strike Forces, or naval exercises and operations, and understand their impact on the Common Tactical Picture and Common Operational Picture.
• Supervise initialization, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Link-11 and Link-16 systems; use collaborative planning tools; maintain the tactical picture; monitor link operations; change system configurations; and maintain voice communications.
• Interface with NSWC staff to determine modeling, analysis, and experimentation COP/data collection requirements and help maximize use of the data.
