Systems Administrator

ASRC Federal•Mountain View, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

ASRC Federal Data Solutions (AFDS) supports NASA’s High Performance Computing Services program at Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California. The program provides high-performance computing services throughout the HPC lifecycle, including computational requirements, architecture, acquisition, and operations. The team also supports NASA’s Human-Systems Integration (HSI) Division, whose research investigates human performance, integration and evaluation, and human-computer interaction. The Systems Administrator joins the Infrastructure team and provides laboratory, logistical, and system oversight for HSI research laboratories. The role helps maintain a fully functioning, safe, secure, updated, and highly available laboratory infrastructure, including systems, software, displays, peripherals, and related components. Research activities use distributed human-in-the-loop simulation environments and involve collaborators such as industry partners, air traffic service providers, pilots, and aviation operators. This is an on-site position at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California. The administrator works with researchers, developers, students, engineers, and other technical personnel to support laboratory operations, experiments, flight tests, and testing activities.
