About The Position

At Regions, the Systems Administrator installs, configures, and maintains operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program and four (4) years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects

Responsibilities

  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures
  • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Monitors system software licensing and maintenance agreements
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
  • Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services
  • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures
  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation
  • Performs scripting as needed (i.e. PowerShell and Bash)
  • Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
  • Monitors and manages UiPath Orchestrator environments, including robot queues, jobs, triggers, and asset configurations
  • Troubleshoots and resolves production incidents and bot failures across attended and unattended automations
  • Performs root cause analysis on recurring technical bottlenecks or system errors to prevent future failures
  • Coordinates with development teams to deploy code patches, updates, and workflow enhancements
  • Maintains accurate technical documentation, operational runbooks, and logs of resolved support tickets
  • Validates and tests bot performance after infrastructure changes, network updates, or target application modifications
  • Escalates complex product-level bugs to UiPath vendor support and track them through resolution
