About The Position

The Systems Administrator handles day-to-day support of the ATC core storage, compute, and virtual services. This position reports up to the ATC Systems & Cloud Manager. The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is described as a unique testing and research lab, functioning as an ecosystem front-ended by the WWT Platform. It provides resources, guidance, and tools for engineers and architects, including Labs, Learning Paths, Cyber Range, Proof of Concepts, Lab Hosting Programs, and WWT Research. These offerings are for Customers, Partners, and Internal Employees seeking training and education on the latest technology solutions across all domains.

Requirements

1+ years of systems administration experience
Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
Experience with VMware, Linux, and Windows technologies
Experience with NetApp storage arrays
Customer service focused
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems
Ability to understand and document complex solutions
Detail oriented
Excellent verbal and writing skills
Ability to convey complex ideas
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to change focus to other tasks as needed
Willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

College degree or equivalent work experience
VMware, NetApp, Linux or Windows certifications preferred but not required
Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform are a plus

Responsibilities

Provide first level support for customers consuming ATC core systems and services.
Troubleshoot common system problems.
Working with engineers and architects to resolve complex technical issues.
Communicating with ATC stakeholders via ServiceNow, email, or instant message.
Documenting troubleshooting steps and solutions to ServiceNow or Wiki.
Provision storage, compute, or virtual environments to support customer engagements (labs, POCs, demos).
Provide guidance to ATC stakeholders regarding storage, compute, and virtualization for customer engagements (labs, POCs, demos).
Monitor critical ATC services.
Assist with regular maintenance activities.
Maintain and support ATC core services.
Monitor and work support queue.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
