About The Position

The Systems Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will provide technical support to customers including basic inquiries, basic troubleshooting, break/fix needs, and touch maintenance at Tier 1 through remote administrative tools or verbal guidance. They will also create and execute break/fix tickets for Tier 2 and Tier 3 needs, support the testing and installation of system patches, and assist with hardware disposition needs such as sanitization facilitation, excessing assets, or CD and hard drive destruction. The role requires accountability for maintaining accurate inventory and stock planning, as well as managing the queue of incident requests (IRs). Adaptability to new technologies, situations, and deadlines is essential. The position involves supporting and responding to customer requirements through daily walks and check-ins. The successful candidate will be available to support a variety of tasks/roles, including IT Help Desk functions and coordinating break/fix and customer needs. They must be able to work unsupervised, possess a strong commitment to a team environment, be dependable and punctual, communicate effectively, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ownership of duties and self-motivation are also key attributes.

Requirements

  • Must have 2, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
  • Must have 1, or more, months of directly related experience
  • Must have a DoW 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher
  • Must have working experience with Microsoft Windows 11 Operating Systems
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance
  • Must be able to obtain an active DoW Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Can lift a minimum of 35 lbs
  • Able to be sitting, walking, standing, or crawling under desks for extended periods.

Responsibilities
