About The Position

Cumberland Heights is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure that supports clinical teams and patient outcomes across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the IT infrastructure, proactively identify risks, build resilient systems, and elevate the technical standards of the organization. This position involves working with Windows Server environments, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID), identity and access management, endpoint management, network support, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. The role also emphasizes documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with various teams and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 4+ years in a systems administration or infrastructure engineering role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID
  • Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing
  • Experience with endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Background in healthcare IT or other regulated environments (HIPAA experience a strong plus)
  • Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell or Bash
  • Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with Azure or AWS
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft (e.g., AZ-104), CompTIA (Security+, Network+), or Cisco

Responsibilities

  • Administer Windows Server environments and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID)
  • Manage identity and access controls including Active Directory, group policies, and MFA
  • Oversee endpoint management at scale using Intune and/or SCCM
  • Monitor uptime, performance, and capacity across all locations and address issues proactively
  • Own the security posture: manage patch cycles, endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, and vulnerability remediation
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant infrastructure and support audit readiness
  • Lead incident response for infrastructure-related security events
  • Manage backup systems and verify data integrity
  • Maintain, document, and periodically test disaster recovery plans
  • Support multi-site connectivity including VPNs, firewalls, and routing configurations
  • Troubleshoot escalated network and infrastructure issues across all facilities
  • Document systems, configurations, and runbooks
  • Cross-train team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
  • Partner with help desk, developers, and leadership to deliver infrastructure solutions
  • Lead or support the implementation of new systems, migrations, and tooling rollouts
  • Receive technical direction and guidance from the Senior Systems Administrator
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Systems Administrator on cross-site projects, escalations, and infrastructure planning
