Systems Administrator with Security Clearance
About The Position
The Systems Administrator supports Windows and Linux systems in an onsite role in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph through the Maryland customer. The most recent polygraph must have been completed within the past six years; candidates with CCAs are not acceptable, and applicants must already meet the customer-specific clearance requirements. The role involves administering Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory, deploying and patching software and hardware, supporting operating systems, and performing basic system backup and restoration. The administrator also supports client and server virtualization environments and installs, configures, troubleshoots, and reimages hardware. Familiarity with tools and technologies including SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus, Red Hat, and VMware is sought. Strong knowledge of advanced security protocols, standards, and information security principles and practices is required.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) through the Maryland customer.
- Most recent polygraph completed within the past six years.
- Must meet the customer-specific clearance requirements; candidates with CCAs are not acceptable.
- Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory.
- Experience with software and hardware deployment, patching, operating systems, and basic system backup and restoration.
- Experience supporting client and server virtualization environments.
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware.
- Strong understanding of advanced security protocols, standards, information security principles, and practices.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience specified in the basic qualifications; the posting describes typical experience as 7–10+ years.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with or familiarity with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, and Nessus.
- Experience with or knowledge of Red Hat and VMware.
- Senior-level candidates preferred.
