About The Position

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing the acquisition, allocation, and utilization of financial resources for information services and support. This role requires the ability to take calls after hours and on weekends, and assumes other duties as assigned by hospital leadership. Familiarity with departmental budgeting, KPIs, and inventory management related to hardware/licenses is essential for operational readiness. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to optimize consultant collaboration regarding cost and monitoring of deliverables.

Requirements

  • Expertise in managing various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with users and other IT professionals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail for documentation and system management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field required along with 4 years of industry-related experience OR Associate's degree in information technology or related field along with 5-7 years of industry-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure new hardware, software, and network components.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with computer systems, servers, and networks.
  • Implement and manage security protocols, access controls, and firewalls to protect against threats and data breaches.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, including setting up user accounts and managing permissions.
  • Perform routine data backups to ensure data integrity and facilitate restoration in case of failure.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and system configuration records.
  • Manage the acquisition, allocation and utilization of financial resources needed for information services and support.
  • Take call after hours and on the weekend.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by hospital leadership.
