At Regions, the Systems Administrator oversees installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. This role provides expertise to the design, planning, implementation, operation, and security of systems, ensuring long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. The administrator will oversee the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software, implement operating system enhancements, and monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. They will also provide recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting, manage compliance in Security and Regulatory standards, and execute scripting as needed (i.e. PowerShell and Bash). Additionally, the role involves conducting routine hardware and software audits, developing and maintaining a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library, and driving improvements to processes and design enhancements. The Systems Administrator will coordinate, facilitate, and verify projects across multiple environments, ensuring compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices, while also identifying opportunities for and supporting process improvements and applying disciplined change management practices.
