About The Position

At Regions, the Systems Administrator oversees installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Primary Responsibilities Provides expertise to the design, planning, implementation, operation, and security of systems Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization Oversees the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system Monitors and maintains continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements Provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting Manages compliance in Security and Regulatory standards Executes scripting as needed (i.e. PowerShell and Bash) Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation Drives improvements to processes and design enhancements Coordinates, facilitates, and verifies projects across multiple environments Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a technical training program and six (6) years of related experience
  • Or High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise storage technologies (3-5+ yrs experience with SAN, NAS, cloud, and network principles)
  • Deep knowledge and experience with platforms such as Dell, Netapp, Pure Storage, and Cisco MDS
  • Hands on experience to configure, manage, integrate, and support on premise storage with hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, SaaS, etc.)
  • Experience with cyber security integrations and best practices.
  • Support hybrid cloud disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
