About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with a Secret Clearance to ensure the stable operation of in-house computer software systems and network connections. This role involves planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. The position also includes organizing and directing the configuration and operation of information management systems, analyzing and resolving end-user software program and connectivity issues, and conducting capacity and performance analysis with recommendations for system configuration changes and upgrades. Additionally, the role focuses on increasing system administrator efficiency through automated tools and scripts, developing procedures, conducting training, and providing end-user training. The Senior Systems Administrator will also provide recommendations on technology direction, offer local and remote maintenance support for various operational systems across multiple locations, and direct the work of other system administrators. Advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing and fault tolerance, as well as vulnerability management, is required.

Requirements

Ten (10) years specialized experience. At least four (4) years of which are concentrated, hands-on installing, configuring, maintaining and resolving issues with various software.
Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification (at least one of these: COMPTIA Security+ CE, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Certified Network Defender (CND), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP))
OR DoD 8570 IAT Level III Baseline Certification (or at least one of these: CompTIA Advanced security Practitioner with Continuing Education (CASP+ CE), Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP or Associate), GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP))

Responsibilities

Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.
Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems.
Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues.
Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.

Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance. Performs vulnerability management.
