About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join their rapidly growing team! May have to travel to LTS (College Park) to support systems/networks. Responsible for supporting servers, current hardware, storage, virtual infrastructures with VMs, new hardware, and resources. Responsible for day-to-day operations, creating/deleting VMs, security updates, troubleshooting, resolving issues, managing tickets (Jira). Familiar with automation tools and building of workflows. Responsible for keeping networks up-to-date utilizing industry best practices and be able to advise on system and network designs, mission architectures, and simplify and streamline network maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
  • Experience with Ubuntu.
  • Familiar with System and Network security policies and able to implement policies.
  • Experience with SSPs, Authentication, Compliance, and Monitoring.
  • GPU experience.
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with system hardware.
  • Experience with NetBox.
  • Cluster management experience.
  • An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
  • BS + 15 years experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with automation tools and building of workflows.
  • STE/STN DevOp experience.
  • Demonstrates follow through on policies and tasking.
  • Update Jira tickets, resolve issues, and close tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting servers, current hardware, storage, virtual infrastructures with VMs, new hardware, and resources.
  • Day-to-day operations, creating/deleting VMs, security updates, troubleshooting, resolving issues, managing tickets (Jira).

  • Advising on system and network designs, mission architectures.
  • Simplifying and streamlining network maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining and administering systems and networks (monitoring, patching, troubleshooting).
  • Design and administer networks.
  • Rack hardware.
  • Maintaining and deploying VMs.
  • Assisting in annual inventory activities.
  • Create and maintain system and network documentation.
  • Responsive to users.
  • Able to set up enclaves.
