About The Position

Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is an engineering company that provides Government projects and programs with experienced and dedicated system architects, engineers, subject matter experts (in tactical intelligence), and program managers. VNE also develops training courses and tools to prepare warfighters to effectively employ tactical intelligence systems and provide management guidance to the Government organizations that develop these systems. The scope of work covers systems engineering, technical, and management support services for the government and its associated acquisition, technology, logistics, and program management offices. Support is provided to multiple stakeholders responsible for the development, integration, and sustainment of specialized operational capabilities. The scope of support includes program management, engineering analysis and design, configuration management, testing, quality control, sustainment, cybersecurity, training, and field service representative (FSR) support for a static collection capability that functions as a subsystem within a larger integrated system. This is in support of the development, production, and sustainment of specialized intelligence capabilities. Configuration management and associated systems engineering activities are conducted through a collaborative effort among multiple government and partner organizations to ensure interoperability, performance, and lifecycle support.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI/CI Poly Cleared
  • Master’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • Seven (7) years professional experience in systems administration.
  • TS/SCI/CI Poly level Clearance required.
  • Compliance with the Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives, including any required certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in: Administering and supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
  • Experience in: Duties typically involve the installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation
  • Experience in: Maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
  • Experience in: Training staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications

Responsibilities

  • Administering and supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.

  • Providing instruction on computers and applications.
  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face.
