About The Position

The Systems Administrator II provides day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support for mission-critical Windows, Linux, virtualization, and endpoint environments supporting the Department of the Air Force Defensive Cyberspace Operations Weapon Systems. This position maintains secure and highly available systems while supporting user accounts, system maintenance, compliance, patching, and operational readiness in a 24x7 environment.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • CASP+, SecurityX, PMP, CAPM, or Project+ Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years administering enterprise Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, virtualization, patch management, backup/recovery, endpoint support, and enterprise troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DoD, Federal, or enterprise IT environments preferred.
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux systems supporting Department of the Air Force DCO systems or comparable 24x7 DoD mission environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, VMware, Group Policy, enterprise patching, workstation imaging, endpoint management, backup and recovery, and PowerShell or Bash automation.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing DISA STIGs and supporting RMF, A&A, vulnerability remediation, POA&M management, privileged-access reviews, COOP testing, and audit-readiness activities.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
  • Administer enterprise operating systems, virtual machines, storage resources, and system services.
  • Perform software installations, upgrades, and system maintenance.
  • Provision, modify, disable, and audit user accounts.
  • Process DD Form 2875 requests and manage account lifecycle activities.
  • Support privileged access reviews and access management.
  • Perform patch management, backup and recovery validation, health monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Support workstation imaging, endpoint maintenance, and hardware/software.
  • Implement DISA STIGs and secure configuration baselines.
  • Support RMF, A&A, vulnerability remediation, POA&M activities, and audit readiness.
  • Respond to outages, restore services, document incidents, maintain trouble tickets, and support COOP testing.
  • Provide Tier II operational support in a 24x7 environment.
  • Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support automation initiatives.
