About The Position

The System Administrator II is a jack of all trades. This person will provide technical support, systems administration, infrastructure support, and project execution for their enterprise technology environment. This individual will partner with internal customers, IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience (System Administrator I level) or 5+ years (System Administrator II level).
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and server environments.
  • Active Directory administration experience.
  • VMware experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily systems administration operations.
  • Assist with CMMC-related compliance and security initiatives.
  • Upgrade enterprise Windows endpoints to Windows 11.
  • Support Windows Server upgrades from 2016 to 2024.
  • Troubleshoot application deployment and packaging issues.
  • Maintain Active Directory users, groups, and GPOs.
  • Administer and support VMware infrastructure.
  • Improve endpoint vulnerability scores utilizing Rapid7 remediation efforts.
  • Participate in Phase II of the BeyondTrust implementation.
  • Support printing infrastructure projects including PaperCut and print server deployments.
  • Support mobile device management solutions and endpoint security controls.
  • Assist with infrastructure modernization projects, including switchgear replacement initiatives.
  • Support backup, restore, maintenance, and system lifecycle activities.
  • Utilize PowerShell automation where appropriate.
  • Support deployment of new technologies and manufacturing systems.
  • Partner directly with end users to resolve incidents and provide technical guidance.
