About The Position

As an IT Systems Administrator at Hadrian's Torrance HQ, your role will encompass a blend of responsibilities including writing automation, managing AV for company events, and handling escalated service desk issues. You should be comfortable working with code editors, managing live AV setups for company-wide events, and resolving complex technical tickets. The company standardizes on Microsoft Teams in a GCC High tenant for its conference and event needs, but experience with other platforms like Zoom and Google Meet is also valuable due to their use in guest events and integrations.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years in IT, with experience as both a systems administrator and an AV owner.
  • Hands-on live AV production experience, having managed all-hands, large team meetings, or podcasts end-to-end.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Teams; GCC High experience is a plus.
  • Working experience with Zoom, Google Meet, or other AV platforms.
  • Comfort with conference room gear such as Logitech, Crestron, Q-SYS, and similar; ability to troubleshoot without a manual.
  • Strong scripting or coding skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM platforms and ITSM automation, with experience building or tuning workflows.
  • Experience building automations or chatbot flows with tools like Serval, Moveworks, or similar.
  • Comfort integrating systems through APIs, webhooks, and SDKs.
  • Experience as an escalation point, capable of identifying root causes and guiding teams.
  • Clear writing and calm communication skills, able to brief executives, hand off tasks, and write clean runbooks.
  • Ability to work on-site at Torrance, CA HQ.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move AV gear, racks, and hardware.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations due to ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Prior software engineering work experience.
  • Experience running IT or AV within a Microsoft GCC High or other government cloud tenant.
  • AV certifications such as Crestron CTS, AVIXA CTS or CTS-I, Q-SYS Level 1/2, Dante Level 1/2, or Shure.
  • Live streaming and broadcast experience with tools like OBS, vMix, Wirecast, ATEM, or similar switchers and encoders.
  • Networking depth, including VLANs, QoS for voice and video, VPN, or Wi-Fi in a campus setting.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST 800-171, or CMMC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Microsoft Teams environment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Configure, set up, document, and run GCC High Teams meetings.
  • Provide hands-on live AV support for all-hands meetings, large team meetings, podcasts, and other company events.
  • Own break-fix issues for conference rooms, including equipment from Logitech, Crestron, Q-SYS, and similar brands.
  • Assist in the setup of new conference rooms, including specifying equipment and working with vendors.
  • Build automation using AI chatbots like Serval and integrate them with existing systems to deflect work.
  • Write code in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages to integrate systems and reduce manual tasks.
  • Own ITSM workflows and integrations, tuning queues, forms, and automations to improve service desk efficiency.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the service desk, resolving complex tickets, identifying root causes, and documenting solutions.
  • Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams on relevant systems.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, by verifying candidate's citizenship or residency status.
