About The Position

Join the Bureau of Enterprise Technology Services supporting the Pennsylvania State Police-where your work directly impacts statewide public safety operations. This is a senior-level infrastructure role responsible for Enterprise Active Directory, File & Print server environments, and Identity, access, and security controls. You'll serve as the technical lead and point of contact across headquarters, field sites, and data centers. We are seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator with strong experience in Active Directory administration, Enterprise infrastructure support, and Identity and access management. This role requires someone who can execute technically while enforcing standards, policies, and security practices.

Requirements

  • Enterprise IT Experience – 5+ years
  • Active Directory Administration – 3+ years
  • File Share / Print Server Management – 3+ years
  • Networking Fundamentals – 3+ years
  • Endpoint / Remote Support – 3+ years
  • Identity Provisioning Systems (CUPSS or similar) – 2+ years
  • Scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) – 2+ years
  • Microsoft 365 / Exchange Resource Management – 2+ years
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Adherence to process and policy
  • Security-first mindset
  • Professional communication (written & verbal)
  • Respect for chain-of-command and structured environments
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong independent troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage enterprise AD environment (CUPSS or equivalent)
  • Provision and manage user, service, and resource accounts
  • Provision and manage security groups and permissions
  • Implement GPOs
  • Implement naming conventions
  • Implement access control standards
  • Manage file shares, permissions, and storage
  • Troubleshoot mapped drives
  • Troubleshoot access issues
  • Perform data recovery (Shadow Copy)
  • Perform drive space and server maintenance
  • Manage enterprise print servers and queues
  • Deploy drivers, firmware, and updates
  • Support printer troubleshooting and vendor coordination
  • Support enterprise IT policies and compliance
  • Participate in disaster recovery and continuity planning
  • Act as liaison between IT teams, users, and vendors
  • Provide escalation support and advanced troubleshooting
