About The Position

iRhythm is seeking a System Test Co-op (6 month | July - December 2026) to join our team working on innovative cardiac monitoring devices. In this role, you’ll help ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our wearable device and its supporting software and infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with engineers, run tests and report results, and play a key role in delivering high-quality products that improve patient lives. This position is in San Francisco, CA, and the role is hybrid, where you will work in the office 4 days/week, or more as needed, to use hardware and electrical lab equipment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to commit to time frame of June - December 2026.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, etc.).
  • Able to share ideas clearly and work both on your own and with teammates from different areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in medical devices or another regulated industry.
  • Scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL) and familiarity with software development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Use requirements for our medical device and software to write test cases that check both whether the features work as intended and whether they can fail under certain conditions.
  • Confirm that the software tools we use in development and testing (but that aren’t part of the medical device itself) work correctly and reliably.
  • Record and share your test results in a clear way (for example, in reports or Jira tickets) so the team can easily understand the issue and take action.
  • Look into problems, try to reproduce them, and test fixes to make sure the issue is really resolved before release.
