About The Position

This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least four days per week. Relocation may be available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time. We will consider qualified applicants of all ages who are starting (or restarting) their careers. As a Software Test Engineer Co-op, you will join a highly effective product quality team, working side by side with developers in an Agile environment. This role focuses on developing and executing test cases across a wide range of software components, including user interfaces, algorithms and back-end data handling. The position includes manual and automated testing, with opportunities to build coding skills in Python, MATLAB or C++. You will work with tools such as Squish, Python, C++, MATLAB and Linux while interacting with a variety of electronic equipment in a lab environment. The OPAL HDx Mapping System is a 3D mapping and navigation system used as a diagnostic tool for cardiac electrophysiology procedures. It provides real-time visualization of intracardiac catheters and displays 3D cardiac maps to support minimally invasive procedures. The system enables physicians to identify arrhythmia origins while generating accurate anatomical models of heart chambers. High-performance rendering and advanced algorithms provide immediate feedback and visualization.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Must graduate between Spring 2027 – Spring 2028.
  • Must be proficient in Python.
  • Must be able to commit to the following full co-op program periods: June 15th – December 18th.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Waltham, Massachusetts, Boston Scientific location; transportation will not be provided by the company.
